"Warmer weather is coming. The snowbanks approaching Emerson, Man. - now one of the illegal gateways into Canada for asylum seekers fleeing the United States - will soon be gone.

Unless measures are taken by the Trudeau government to stop this exodus, today's relative trickle will become a torrent.

The emotive pictures of baby carriages being hauled through deep snow by third-world families will soon be replaced by the burgeoning crowds of illegal immigration queue-jumpers.

And there is no ceiling on the number allowed to butt in.

$1:
According to a spokesman with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, there are no limits on the number of asylum claims that can be made from within Canada.

Using their own numbers, therefore, the Liberals plan to take in 300,000 immigrants this year, including 40,000 refugees from war-torn regions of the world, as well as a still-unknown number of asylum seekers who will potentially be flooding across our border."

What are the backgrounds of these asylum seekers who suddenly show up on Canadian soil? And what are their intentions, other than to get the hell out of Donald Trump’s Dodge?

While U.S. President Donald Trump’s new executive order on immigration has been slightly delayed, Homeland Security documents show the president wants the nation’s immigration laws to be more aggressively enforced, with border service cops being directed to find, arrest and deport anyone in the U.S. illegally, regardless of criminal activity.

Suffice it would be easy pickings if U.S. border security set up a trap just south of Emerson (or south of the small Quebec town of Hemmingford where similar crossings are being made), and arrest those who will undoubtedly follow the scores who have already made it across the border with their lives in backpacks and suitcases.

These illegal border crossings, through a loophole, give asylum-seekers a way to avoid the Canada-U.S. Safe Third Country Agreement which prevents most people who have been living in the United States from making a refugee claim at an official border crossing, the premise being that they are already safe.

Trump’s immigration clampdown changed all that.

It would now appear more Canadian mayors want their cities to become a “sanctuary city,” with little or no consideration for the unintended consequences that will arise unless there is an established process for vetting, infrastructure and accommodation that leads to successful immigration.

Without such a process, it’s a crap shoot.

Two Somali men who slipped into Canada through the back door of Emerson, for example, admitted sneaking into the United States via Mexico, and then changing plans when Trump put their home country on the immigration ban list.

One claimed to be fleeing death threats in Somalia from al-Shabaab terrorists, while the other said he was escaping discrimination directed at him as an ethnic minority.

Is it truth or is it fiction? And is there a contingency plan if we end up being played for dupes, and all goes to hell in a handcart?

A recent Harvard-Harris poll showed 80% of Americans are against “sanctuary cities,” most established by Democrat mayors, and are not opposed to the Trump administration “starving them” of $2.7 billion in federal support if they do not comply with orders to report on illegal immigrants living in their midst, especially criminals.

Earlier this month, to cite but one unintended consequence, New York City refused under its own “sanctuary policy rules” to hand over a violent Salvadorian gang member upon his release from Rikers Island.

Instead, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) had to track the gangster down on their own for deportation.

This is what some sanctuary cities have morphed into.

It’s a dangerous scenario for ordinary citizens who only want to feel safe in their homes.

If they were just allowed to make the application at the official border crossing we wouldn't have such problem. But the rules disincent people from the orderly option.

Walking to the Canadian Consulate, while enjoying the safety of the US, was just too damn hard!

Who's got the time for that shit anyway?

Would you like a shovel for your BS?

$1:
Apply at a port of entry

You can apply for refugee status at any port of entry, such as an airport, seaport or land border.

The officer you make your refugee claim to will decide if your claim is eligible to be referred to the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (IRB). If your claim is eligible:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/refugees/inside/apply-how.asp

The only thing the jumpers are doing is attempting to jump the que of other refugees.

BF's BS needs more than a shovel, more like a heavy excavator.

However, in this case,

$1:
Under the Safe Third Country Agreement between Canada and the U.S., refugee claimants in one country can't make the same claim on the other side of the border.
But the agreement only applies to those who make their claims at official border crossings. If they manage to cross in an open area and hit Canadian soil, they are entitled to a hearing.

So, if someone has applied for asylum in the US, and they try at the Canadian border,
it's an automatic rejection.

If they cross the border into a town, they get a hearing.

The loophole should be changed so that anyone crossing from the US is automatically
rejected for asylum.

But we know that won't happen, too many want Canada flooded with bogus refugee claims,
so they can show how tolerant they are. They just don't care who has to pay for it.

Funny. When guns and drugs were crossing the border daily, no one did anything.

Now, suddenly Immigrants!

Well, except that guns and drugs are bad and immigrants are good for our prosperity.

IKR! The story was about a guy who built a successful business in new York, but suddenly when he gets to Canada he's going to start raping kids in public pools for some reason.

Go tell that to the women and children in the other refugee thread.

We have limited resources. Some have now been wasted on this man. That also means refugees from camps, that are going through hell daily, can wait just a bit longer.

But, it's okay, he has been rescued form the horrendous ills he would have suffered in the US.
