And everyone trying to blame everyone.... not like we weren't talking about the looming shortages of staff due to aging populations years before Covid even hit.
And all the time they talked and did SFA, along comes Covid and burns out half of the already short staff....

Oh yes, shortages of healthcare workers has been a problem for a long time now. I recall my former mother-in-law, who was a nurse until her own health issues forced her off active nursing and into the office trying to recruit nurses. This was back in the late 90's and the big issues were the lack of classroom seats to even educate those who wanted to be as well as a ridiculous amount of red tape for foreign nurses to go through to come here to work.

I recently chatted with a customer whose daughter has begun her nursing courses but it took awhile to get into the courses due to lack of seats available. I'm sure this extends to many levels of healthcare positions.

Literally been beggin for years for nurses to come here. Bonuses, subsidized housing. Promo lit about the outdoor benefits. Hunt! Snowmobile! Hike! 4 wheel!
Sweet F all else to do outside work hours but that and drink yourself into a stupor.

So couple years ago we get an outdoorsey, rednecky nurse right out of school who loves all that. Soon as fall hits, she heads out hunting with a bunch of people, crashes the ATV and ends up on long term medical ends up needing to look for another career. If this place didn't have such shit luck it would have no luck at all....
