Talk about a stupid policy!

$1:
Basically what theyre saying is, Were not going to warn anybody because we cant warn everybody, said Anderson.

I don't understand why they just don't throw it in Google translate and fire it out - even if it's not perfect. Heaven forbid they save a life because of an actual warning.

Surely they can use current software to send two tweets, one at a time in each language. Of course then maybe the fight would be about which language gets sent first. Only in Canader.

The French get very angry at things that are google translated. You can be telling if a thing is put into the translation machine of google because this is how it is to read.

That said--dumb policy.

You say that like it's a bad thing.

And not reading a tornado warning is so much better? If the French complained about poor grammar in the thing that is meant to save lives, I'd probably be surprised. But only a little.

Let the stupid fuckers take it up Mother Nature. There aren't too many uni lingual francophones outside of Quebec, nor are there many tornadoes in Quebec.

My reply in French translated by Google... not bad.

***It is not true that we are shocked because of it. Next time, think a little before making generalizations. Apart from that, the way you write, Google would have a black fun trying to translate your text.

Given their expert broken English, I don't feel the least bit bad about it.

Ridiculous though.

On the flip side - I'm sure there are enough other means, that Twitter won't be the end all/be all of the weather warning system. We've all lived without it thus far.
