All this renaming, new ranks and buttons is just a distraction. Equipment and services for vets and wounded members is where the money should be going. Smoke, mirrors, platitudes and bright shiny baubles are all these CPC pricks have been good for.

These are easy changes simple to implement.

exactly....cheap and easy. It makes it look like they're doing something, while they're actually doing SFA. It's political posturing

I thought you said there was a manpower problem, and there weren't enough personnel to man the current vessels?

Tempted to say 'Better than nothing', or 'Do you think lil Justin will do any better ?',
but we both know that goes nowhere.
A lot of things need to be changed.
The CPC was the best chance for help for the military.
If not them...........
Wanna get into politics ?

That being said, we need to start on the ships side of the issue as it will likely take longer than the manpower side.

My problem is with the duplicity and hypocrisy. We all know the Liberals don't give two shits about the military, and they've never hidden or denied this. The CPC thumps its chest about how they are such great patrons and supporters of the military, yet they fuck the members, both current and former, in just the same way. They seem to think that folks are stupid, and can't see this. They're a big disappointment...all talk and no action. They could have been investing those infrastructure dollars back into ship building yards(and the promised deep sea port up north), which would have employed thousands for years, not including the spin off jobs.

Have you heard of the $30 billion dollar National Shipbuilding and Procurement Stratey, which has turned into the Federal Fleet Renewal project?

Sad but true. I certainly don't like Harper, but that was the one place he could have at least won grudging respect from me. Sure he's bought a few airframes and some tanks, but other than that, he's squandered far too many opportunities to prove he is actually different from those who preceded him. Have you heard of one hull started or even a plan for any of ships finalized yet? Yeah, me either...
