So, does the spin slow down if the Earth's magnetic field reverses polarity? If "pressure" from the magnetic field induces spin, is it reduced or reversed when the North-South polarity changes? That sounds dangerous! Perhaps, there is lots of momentum to carry it through such periodic changes.
