Any body would expect the police to schoot if somebody is going after them with a machette. What is the problem? The police can defend themselves.

I have to commend the guy's brother and his very mature attitude about the entire picture.

$1:
“I’ve had enough of aboriginals blaming police and saying it’s racism. I’m aboriginal myself and I’m sick and tired of it,” he said.

$1:
Courchene said he hopes to use his brother’s death to focus on trying to make a difference by promoting positive lifestyle choices.
“This has got to end — the fighting between cops and aboriginals, and the drinking,” Courchene said.

$1:
“I don’t care if people look at him as bad,” Courchene said. “He was still my brother and I loved him, and if I had to carry him home drunk, I didn’t care. He was someone to me and that’s all that matters.”

Wow. Ariculate, insightful, intelligent and compassionate. Hope he runs for office one day.

$1:
I want to let him know that I forgive him.

While the rest of what he said was fine and dandy, this comment sort of stood out like a stick in the eye. To be forgiven, you first had to have done something wrong. The officer(s) did everything right, so this sounds a little tongue in cheek.
