Would also explain why they're also considered thee best animal companion IMO.

Guard duty, loyalty & entertainment what more could you ask for ?

Yup, cats have mastered one thing and one thing only.

Sleepin 16 hours a day, who only want to seem to get to know ya from October to April.

Dogs on the other hand are interested all year round.

Oh, I've always known pups are better companions, smarter, more loyal and just way more fun to have around. I will always have a dog or two around.

Dogs are 'smarter than cats'

lol!

Dogs are great to have, very loyal and a great burgler alarm, but to say they are smarter than cats, or any other animal is quite silly.....

The cats thought process is extremely fast and are very smart.....

Lock a dog in a room and it would try to dig itself out. Lock a cat in a room and it would simply open the door by jumping at the door knob.... Scientists.... lol

I can't help but think of the saying...dogs have owners while cats have staff. I am more a dog person but do like cats too. We have a new pup, a 4 1/2 month old German Shepherd and he is a handfull, but coming along just great.

I have made a good deal of money repairing flooring damaged by cats trying to dig their way out!

Disagree, we had a dog that could open doors, screen doors and our bedroom door.

Any dog that you can pick up with one hand(Any dog under 35 lbs), that isn't a puppy, I can't stand...Jack Russel Terriers being the only exception. Cats are tolerable while they are kittens. Growing up I always had a a Black Lab and my dogs(now my parents dogs) are a Husky-Wolf hybrid.

I HATE Jack Russels  And Chihuahua's, Dachshunden, oh well, anything smaller than a cat. A dog is a dog and is not supposed to be the size of a rat.

I used to have a Groenendaeler (Belgian shepherd), a Dutch Shepherd, my parents own Tatra's and Kuvasz's, and I had a French Bull. And 4 cats

All of those dogs (except for the French bull, he was really stupid, I think he had Down-syndrome for dogs, if that exists :P) were able to open doors. The cats, only if it was a flap door
