Indeed, this has been reported on quite heavily in the realms of science over the past few weeks.

It looks like Aids will be controlled, and with the right funding, could end the way of Polio.

The new medicines will not "cure" aids from the afflicted, but will stop transmission of it to their partner or children.

Good work scientists and large pharma.

An affliction that will affect 1 in 3 Canadians in their lifetimes.

So far, after 60 years of pumping billions into research, there has been almost no progress.

While we may be on the verge of a cure for AIDS we've already established that strictly monogamous and non-promiscuous people are at far less risk than people who sex down anything that moves.

Seems to me the most effective way to cure AIDS is not to do the things that expose you to it in the first place.

The mothers who contracted AIDS from drug use or from unprotected promiscuous sex are making a decision of their own and their children suffer for it. I feel bad for the kids especially because their suffering is a result of someone else's selfish behavior.

As to the gays, homosexuality has nothing to do with AIDS.

Promiscuity does.

Monogamous homosexuals are at no more risk for AIDS than monogamous Mormon couples.

I have a guy cousin who must be in his early 60s now.
As much as I know, he's always had the same partner... and he's AIDS free.
