They took 24 hours.... spent the last years of their lives, Dad in intensive ward and Mom in minimum care room in the same complex. A walk across the inner garden court for her to see him.

Sadly, this kind of thing is going to happen more and more as the Boomers age and it turns out that we have nowhere near enough beds in extended care facilities across the country.

A couple forward thinking doctors and my girlfriend (a nurse) have been working on a plan to build a large care facility in Sherwood Park.

Turns out, there will be a large call for it, and quite a bit of money to be made!

Part of the plans include a wing strictly with larger rooms to accommodate two people, with kitchens and accessible bathrooms.
