I still have no idea why Dental isnt included in our healthcare program. For that matter, why isnt there a national drug and extended medical plan?

I don't understand that either. $100 for a visit while I only want a check up, but they only offer a cleaning that I don't want is a ridiculous amount of money. As a result, a lot of kids do not see a dentist on a regular basis.

Poor dental health has been shown to lead to poor overall health. We'd probably save money covering non-cosmetic dentistry. Either way, it would be a good use of the money compared to other bullshit we spend it on.

Pull them all out. You can make a good buck at certain street corners that way. Sayonara student loans.

That'd cost too much. For far less money he can just join a hockey team and accomplish the same thing while having a spot of fun and exercise, too. [hockey]

That just knocks out the front teeth, creating a small gap. Why restrict himself to only serving Asian men?

With health care costs spiralling more and more out of control and governments fighting to keep the money demands in check, I doubt anyone will push to include dental in the public system.

But I do agree that money is wasted on less critical items. For instance, in Ontario the government will foot the bill for your sex change operation.

"They won't pay to fill my cavity, but they will pay to give me a cavity that can be filled."

Bart's got a point. If the government had to foot the bill for every tooth knocked out while playing hockey, Canada would go into a depression.
