This is an all too common accusation in Canada, often with strong merit.

When CSIS, the RCMP, OPP, Toronto Police and any other police force in this country engage in radicalizing, entrapping, misrepresenting, it is not only a National Security threat on so many levels (see "opportunity costs" in business terms to define the waste of these resources), but it also raises the question about what is being done online and off the radar? If agencies work so hard to protect their information from reaching the courts, what is being done in so many instances in which the courts aren't involved?

I know this much, the most damage is done to Canadas reputation in the eyes of our allies...

The cops own advisor said these guys were nuts who would say anything to please the cops and had no plan of their own. The cops pushed this to show the US how tough we are on terrorism, and these two losers were the best they could come up with.

Has nothing to do with showing the U.S anything, it was about showing the public the need for big budgets and more powers. Turns out as per the election that voters weren't afraid.

See the other post I made today about Peel Police invading privacy of Canadians. Was that to appease the Americans also?

The police in Canada aren't tough on crime, they are tough on democracy...

The FBI are prohibitively against entrapment and misrepresentation. I have read of the FBI openly throwing out a case because they felt their own agents entrapped a suspect. You would hold your breath a long time before you see that happen in Canada

Yeah, you might want to poke around a bit on Google before holding to that conclusion.
