The government seems intent on hiding its operations from the people. At the same time it shows an inordinate amount of interest in what I am doing. People should care more about that, I think. It's bad for democracy. But they don't. Just the other day I was talking with someone about the mission in Iraq adn Syria turning into a full-on combat mission for Canada, given recent revelations that the government (once again) lied about its involvement.

The guy I was talking to disagreed. It's absolutely no business of Parliament what the government decides to do with his military, was his opinion.
