What a good idea. They'll learn a useful trade, and some more people in western countries get to enjoy the generous unemployment benefits offered there.

The companies that outsource like this can now post even bigger profits from all the $ they save. For them it means ridiculously cheap labour, no benefits to pay out, no people to have to worry about. Those doing the work are just unknowns in another country far away.

Sad.

Oh, credit card info, stuff like that. No harm in that.

It's no different from the telemarketing calls I take at work where the person calling seems to have access to company information (owners name, etc) and is offering whatever product or service. For one thing, you can barely understand what they are calling about because their english is not very clear and they refuse to leave a name and number where they can be reached at the owner's convenience. They always say "no, we'll call back at a better time" or "no, there isn't a number where you can reach me", like their phones only work in one direction... yeah, right. If they cannot provide their information I tell them we don't do business with anyone we can't call back so bye-bye and remove us from your list. These responses tell me that I'm not even dealing a person at the ABC company who wants our business, just someone working at an "outsource" location.

Not really Strutz. And I can say that from personal experience!

Now, I gotta 'reach back to the days of my misspent youth'.
