Of course, it's worth saying that one musn't put too much stock in what's written on the internet, but on the other hand....
If these comments are representative of even a small percentage of what's left of the Republican base, then they have a long way to fall yet.

Lol. Lefties can post all sorts of crap but the media dosen't hold them to account but this is news? I seem to have missed all the "rightious indignation" from the usual folks reguarding the crap that "rabble" usually posts.

I notice you weren't all up in arms over the massive press Obama got for checking a girl out. In fact I think you jumped on the bandwagon to insult him. You certainly didn't post it was just gotcha press. Now when some truly horrible racist remarks are being made you seem to be mitigating them with some unfounded nonsense that similar statements made by liberals/democrats gets ignored. Ridiculous.

Is the Free Republic an arm of the Conservative party? No. It's an independant forum that only shares a segment of the spectum. Just the same as this forum is independant, reguardless or what party the owner favor.
I personally find it far too filled with abortion rhetoric to bother with it myself.
As for the G8 babewatch, I was actually criticising Sarkozy, not Obama.

That was a different thread, Derby. You want to talk about that thread, go back to it. This is about the Free Republic site, not Obama.
Are forums held to blame for the comments people post on them? Is the Vancouver Sun held to blame for the opinions in the letters to the editor?
.. another example of the reasons why newspapers are losing their readership.

Warren Kinsella's cat comments never graced the web pages of the CBC for that matter. And he's not just some blogger but Iggy's right hand. And Rabble is just a scary site. For liberals they are down right dictitorial. No free speech there.

Try posting something contrarian at Free Republic or RedState and see how long you last.

The left is a broad statement that could include the NDP, the Democrats and the Liberals. Conservative pretty much describes the Conservative party of Canada.
