You forgot the CEO's who get obscene bonus's for fucking over their employees in the name of those same shareholders.

But, I would have thought that you'd have picked up on that fact given your provinces along with the fed's propensity for continually bailing out Bombardier.

They are doing it to just piss me off even more. It seems every time I call my bank or the cable services or damn near any other institute, it seems I always get somebody with an accent so thick you need a chainsaw to cut.....whether it's Indian, Bahamian, Scottish, French Canadian or what have you.....I can't understand half of what they say! I don't know how many people I have pissed off over the years asking to speak to their supervisors because I can't understand them.......It's a f*cking plot is what it is......

I know, I hate it when you can't properly communicate with services. It can leave too much room for errors to be made.

I don't get the way CIBC is trying to justify that to provide 24hr service they have to shift customer service to another time zone. I know from recent employment searching that there are companies that need people to work night shifts, not specifically in banking mind you, but why can't they have employees to work this shift? I'm sure there are some that wouldn't mind. I've known a few people who specifically work nights because they like it.

That would be me, I spent about 12 years working a steady 8 hour graveyard shift, 11:00pm to 7:00am, before switching to a 12 hour night shift, 7:00pm to 7:00am, for about 5 years. That worked out to be working a 2 week rotation where every other weekend was a long, 3 day, weekend and working 3 days (nights) straight the other.....84 hours per rotation of which I could bank the overtime.

And the frustrating part is that service slips when they do it. I've heard a lot of things about India, and one is that the staff get very little in the way of training. There is also the old concept of 'Indian time' (yes, East Indian!) where sometimes the call center will be completely empty because it's a religious holiday that isn't on any calendar and no one thought to ask the locals.

That leaves 5% of the staff who are from some other religion and who showed up to work to answer 100% of the calls. 8O
