These fundamentalists are no more true Christians than Taliban terrorists are true Muslims. Reminds me a bit of those Westborough Baptist "Church" nutters.

They teach things that are not in the Bible or misuse what is written in the Bible to prove their own beliefs. They also make wild claims such as the one in this article. Just as the fundamentalist Muslims misuse the Koran to spread their own ideas of hate.

Misuse what's in the bible by who's interpretation. Wild claims pretty well a given for Chrstians - virgin birth, say. Since they are fundamentalists, they should be by definition teaching things that are in the bible and nothing else as far as their religion goes.

I'm not a supporter of fundamentalism. But ususally it's the fundies that say other people aren't true Christians. Sad to see somebody else fall into that trap - who's the final authority. As far as I'm concerned, if you follow the golden rule you're a true Christian, if you don't, you can proclaim all you want, but you're not following the core teaching. Everything else is secondary.

Well as a Christian myself I must disagree, but I don't believe in shoving my beliefs down others throats. I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree. But then that's another big difference between fundamentalists and Christians like me.

I disagree on both points. The fundie Christians are twisting (and inventing) facts to fit their strict interpretation of the Bible while the jihadis are strictly obeying what is clearly written in the Koran and the Hadith and they're also following the Sufi and Wahhabist movement of clergy.

While I remain harshly critical of islam I will note that the majority of muslims consistently poll in favor of strict sharia because such a regime most closely aligns with the written word. They are not at all misusing the koran.
However, I will also allow that a good many of the jihadi leaders ARE misusing the movement to advance their own power and to line their own pockets.

On an aside, one of the points the Christian group makes:

$1:
•Apartheid was beneficial to South Africa as segregated schools meant different heritages could be passed on to children

The way this is presented makes the Christian group seem bigoted, however, this is the prevailing wisdom among liberal black educators in the USA that black children perform better in black schools. Thus when it comes to charter schools 70% of the black students attending such schools attend voluntarily segregated black-only schools and their test scores and college acceptance levels are higher than their counterparts in integrated public schools.

Plenty of atheists, Buddhists, and Muslims follow the 'golden rule' and would be quite offended at your conclusion.

What it is to be a 'true Christian' is a bit more involved than what you say and to truthfully claim that title is not so simple.
