So if, say the sort of person who believes everything they read on Twitter starts calling Corona the "Yankee" virus after this is that racist?

Public_Domain Public_Domain: yeah, let's start calling it the "American Flu". the "Spanish" flu started in fucking Kansas, so maybe the Yanks can have this one Actually, there are lots of theories of where that strain of flu originated, including China: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spanish_flu

I think it's more than appropriate to call covid-19 a "Chinese" flu given that it's their traditional and utterly disgusting dietary habits that caused it to spread to humans in the first place. Jesus Christ, take some responsibility for it, China, just like MAGA is going to have to take responsibility for the massive uptick in American deaths when they start forcing people to go back to work because Wall Street's getting too scared about more loss of profits. And this is absolutely going to happen in the US. The right-wing punditocracy started babbling about it en masse yesterday, with some of them outright saying a million deaths will be worth it if it keeps the stock market healthy, and with the administration openly musing about ending self-isolation, business closures, and travel restrictions by Easter.

I heard Trump's remarks on the news just a little while ago about having things go back to normal by Easter. Lifting restrictions? Dream on Donald. This "thing" hasn't even peaked yet.

Every European leader started by saying "only for 2 weeks" and since then some places have said "another 2 weeks" Wanna start a real panic ? Tell 300 million people they will be locked in their houses for 2 or 3 months.See how well that goes over.

If I were Donald Trump and I wanted the Democrats to support closing things down for six to eight weeks I'd announce that I wanted everything back in business in two weeks. Sad that's what we've come to is you have to play the opposition like this.

I don't even remember the last time I had baloney (probably more than 20 years), CheezWhiz was about 5 years ago but I still eat hot dogs during the summer (but without ketchup or yellow mustard). My replacement CheezWhiz... local product.
