Hmmmm last time I checked, Britain's primary involvement with the slave trade involved WHITE slavery. IIRC, the RN was doing what it could to crack down on slave runners.
Regardless however, I think it's utterly ridiculous that these types of claims are given ANY credibility. How can you sue for something that didn't happen to you? How can someone today, sue for something that happened 100+ years ago?
My father was born in Britain and orphaned at a very early age. As a result, he was little more than a slave for 13 of the first 18 years of his life. While he did talk about his experiences, he never whined, cried like a bitch or talked about suing the govt and/or church.
