Potentially much more serious in terms of the planets future is the colossal amount of land ice on Antarctica, which contains 90 per cent of all of the ice on the planet.

And it is here that we find what is arguably the single most glaring contradiction in the global warming theory.

Because all the evidence suggests that, far from getting warmer, over the past 50 years Antarctica has, in fact, been getting colder.

The satellite records show sea ice around that mighty continent has been increasing to the point where last year, it reached its greatest extent since Nasas observations began in 1979.

Even more significant was another finding reported by Nasa last year, showing that the thickness of ice over most of that vast continent has been making colossal gains as much as 112 billion tons a year between 1992 and 2001, and an average of 82 billion tons a year between 2003 and 2008.

Show us how one journal contradicts billions of measurements made since that journal was written.

ROTFL

That why the denier movement is so strong. They take the words "raises doubt" from the title of an often wrong clickbait rag, and think that is conclusive proof of something.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof.

Contradicts which billions of measurements?

Did they not mention the Satellite records above and how those line up with the new data?

Notice I said data? Before you argue tell me this. The Global Warming hypothesis relies on data going back to at least 1850 to show temperature rises of tenths of degrees in the 20th century. Where did those 1850 ocean temperatures come from? Is there a big difference between a sailing ship's logbook and an expedition journal?

This new data is not a contradiction to the record. It is an addition to it. If you have data in your "billions of measurements" that would contradict Scott's from that era, where would they come from? Produce it.

And that's the problem with chicken little alarmists (one of them). All the data they choose to ignore.

Got a better idea. You can dig up something based in science that proves an anomaly disproves anything.
From somewhere other than the darkest corners of the Internet.

While you're at it find stuff on how the sky isn't really blue, the Sun circles the rim of a flat Earth and saltpeter, sulfur and charcoal explode because Jesus said so.
Getting tired of this everyone with a basic Acedemic/Technical High school diploma is an ignorant elitist shit from the loudmouth GED and Occy Shop crowd.

And again my mental slow-poke buddy, an addition to the existing data is not an anomaly. It's just more evidence of what existing data is already showing us.

There has been what you might want to call anomalies though.

The peninsula that pushes north from Antarctica was warming for awhile due largely to tropical currents pushing south. I heard somewhere that's been cooling lately. Any word on that, come to think of it?

In the west Antarctic there was some melt. The suspicion of geothermal causes there is as credible as other possibilities.

The largest anomaly however, might be the record growth in ice around the larger continent lately.

Other than that if there's data showing the Antarctic hasn't been more or less stable in general since Scott, produce it.

Stunning new data indicates El Nino drove record highs in global temperatures suggesting rise may not be down to man-made emissions

Global average temperatures over land have plummeted by more than 1C
Comes amid mounting evidence run of record temperatures about to end
The fall, revealed by Nasa satellites, has been caused by the end of El Nino
