Nicely done Fish-heads! Couldn't the CBC call it a 'colour' though? It's not a FLAG!

I hope it is the last time and we truly become an independent nation.

I don't want a King Charles colour ceremony.

What's wrong with a little tradition? You have the Lion Rampant on your avatar, and the reverse cross of St Andrews, the patron saint of Scotland.

We are not a client state anymore, like Londinium is not flying the Colours of Rome, but a Union Jack.

Nova Scotia is NAMED after a place where the majority of the current citizens came from. We don't defer to Scotland.

Tradition, honouring and acquiescing are three totally different things.

No, but we have a shared heritage with the UK.

Also, the military value tradition and heritage and no branch more than Maritime Command.

Client state? Are you for real?

Again, your avatar? If you were so inclined to diss our heritage, find another avatar.

As for Rome, you will find it's influence still very much felt in the UK. Even though the last Legions left 1500 or so years ago, so, not a great example.

Like I said, the Commander should have known better. A Colour is a very special bit of silk.

I am proud of my Nova Scotia and New Brunswick heritage.

Your opinion is fitting to your avatar. Brock too, question Canadians hearts and didn't trust them.

There is no reason to be part of the monarchy. none.

Heritage is a canard, we had slaves at one point. We evolved as a people, culture and morally, and we are deserving of our true independence.

Unfortunately , in this day and age "colours" seem to have a different connotation:

No, just part of the Canadian majority who don't want King Charles of Tampon.

I just don't see any reason to worship British Monarchy. If it is just ceremonial, why have it at all?

We are Canadian because of people like Joseph Howe standing up to elitist class based rule, and Sir John A for the herculean push to make us our own entity.

The Plains of Abraham was not a Canadian war, it was BRITISH regulars coming over here and kicking primarily FRENCH regulars, when it ended the veterans of the British forces almost all went back HOME. When France was defeated, the French soldiers went back HOME.

If wasn't a Canadian settlers war.
