I'd like to think that we have the ability to track them is a good thing.

Proculation Proculation:

Better yet, send our subs out after them with no crew and remote control them to stop in front of the Russians with a big flag saying "Free" in Russian.

Then when they board, the subs will catch fire, they all die and we get free russian subs to replace the crap subs the british sold us.

We might even get a couple of nukes out of the whole thing too.

Win win.

Apparently Russian subs have been sniffing around the North Pole too, with an eye to claiming part of it, which is bullshit. Everyone knows Santa Claus is a Canadian.

lol....
Bomber runs over US aircraft carriers, threats of arctic annexation, subs off the coast...

...and then people are braindead enough to say the 'cold war' is over. It never ended. It just calmed down a little since it was always a 'hot' war anyways. Oh but hey - cold war over so NATO is defunct now too, eh?

It is. All the members are guilty of being to concerned over their own self interest to be of any use to us in the arctic.

The difference is that the NATO members are ready to deal and talk (nothing wrong with that) whereas the Russians just go ahead and make claims and insinuate threats.

Same ol'Russians.

That would be essentially a declaration of war, as they are in international waters.

No action needed on our part, the Russian crew will no doubt die of radiation poisioning from their rickety ass sub before long anyway.
