As I am sure it is known by a number of muslims within the Mosque or community.
From the article.
Same guy that sured the Western Standard.
"A prominent Calgary imam, Sayed Soharwardy, told CBC News he strongly believes that increased radicalization of young local men is happening at a "faster pace now than a decade ago.

"We" don't have to do shit, except if one of them is clearly mentally ill and needs some kind of medical help to straighten them out. The other parents and the mosque should do a better job of raising good citizens before they go pointing their fingers at the rest of us.

I probably wouldn't care if there was a way to keep them from coming back, but they are killing a lot of Christians when Syria is the country they choose to go to for their murdering Jihad, so I don't know...

Maybe back the Kurds, and help the Syrian Christians hide out with those guys. Give our new Kurdish buddies pictures of the faux Canadian Jihadis so they can recognize their targets.

I thought back when Canadians with Serb and Croat backgrounds were going to Yugoslavia to fight each other back in the 1990's than none of them should have been let back into the country either. You're either a Canadian or you're not and fighting in a war for someone else, even if you have ancestry in the goddamn place, should be an automatic loss of citizenship IMO.

On the topic of fighting abroad, do any Quebecois join the French Foreign Legion?

I beg to differ. It's not "Canada's young men." It's a small segment of radical idiots from a specific group. Don't lump everyone together just so it is politically correct.

I'm not disagreeing with you, cause all the rational parts of me think you're right, but a part of me wonders, what if those notorious warmongers, the Dutch, were to invade Denmark? I might be Canadian, but the majority of my extended family lives in Denmark, and I'm very close with many of them. There is also a connection with the country itself, but it's the people that matter most to me. Would I be tempted to go over to fight? I really don't know. And I don't know if the loss of my Canadian citizenship would make a difference to me at that point.

Maybe. There's probably some leeway if someone's going to go over and fight like a man and not to kill as many unarmed civilians on the other side as they possibly can. Big difference though between what you're saying and joining some terrorist cell like the Khadrs did and these new Muslim fucksticks in Calgary are now apparently doing. And certainly not like the Croats were doing too by going "home" to join Ustache like grandpa did when he worked at the Jasenovac death camp for the Nazis, or like the Serbs were doing when their snipers and artillerymen were deliberately shooting and shelling places (like schools and hospitals) in Sarajvo where they absolutely knew women and children were trying to seek shelter.

That's why I'm of a prohibitive mind about this. The area between someone going to "defend the homeland" and just going over to be a murderer engaging in some standard hatred of the other ethnicities is some pretty mushy ground.

Haven't heard from Soharwardy in some time.

He wants to establish himself in the center of a narrative again does he? He was a media darling, then he picked that fight with Ezra and he's been hiding in the shadows up till now. So now he's back, is he? Guess who's waiting for him?

Wanna see an entertaining video? Don't click unless you're ready for anything.

I'm not saying Soharwardy is incorrect for saying what everybody else already knows about radicalization picking up steam. I am advising we should be careful about how deep we want to follow him down his particular rabbit hole though.

Yes, I know of a few Quebecois who went and joined. As well as a couple from the west and at least one from Ontario.

Might not make a difference to you, but it would make a difference for the rest of us.
