I think what is happening right now is a pretty solid argument for making sure ANYTHING that is going to be used by the military is either produced by a friendly nation or preferrably, domestically.

Fake parts my ass. It's not about buying knockoffs it's about accountability or the lack there of. So the first question should be WTF isn't the Government going after the contractors who supply the parts or the illiterate morons in NDHQ procurements who can't read the label of the materials they've bought.

My guess would be that when you open up a case of avionics parts and they're all stamped "made in China" you'd be more than a little suspect about their origin.

But hey, I can here it now. Sir, we saved a shitload of money by buying all these parts at that Richmond flea market.
