I know that species going extinct is natural, it has been happening for billions of years on our planet, but it seems like we are definitely speeding up the process. While it makes me happy to know that their are people out there figting these issues, mankind as a whole needs to make changes if we are going to survive on this planet for any extended period of time.
It's like a race, either we find another habital planet and have the technology to transport people there before our planet becomes unable to support life. OR we start changing our ways now and maybe, just maybe it isn't too late to hel the planet and make it so that future generations can live on this planet for a very long time.

Hope it's not the same scientists who raised concerns about the sea lice and the collapse of salmon stocks three years ago.
