If you're looking to play nice with the EU then yes, you're right.

But the EU is promising retaliation and recriminations against the UK for daring to choose soveriegnty over fealty to a shadowy cabal of banking elites. With that in mind the best person to represent the interests of the UK against these people is exactly someone who isn't going to side with them over his own country.

The only other person I'd pick for this job would be Nigel Farage and I am 100% certain he was the first pick for it and he declined.

Farage would have to get himself elected to the British parliament first, so no.

Boris Yeltson won't be the one negotiating the Brexit. So he'll just go around the world pissing off the countries Britain will have to negotiate trade deal with, now that they're not covered by the EU deals.

I mean to play nice with everybody. Boris isn't known for being a particularly diplomatic person, and that's exactly what a F.S. needs to be. He doesn't have to capitulate to the EU to do that.

I can just imagine him asking the Pakistani Foreign Minister about the best goat he ever fucked.

There is a custom of UK Cabinet members being MPs but it is not a law or a requirement in the least. You could be appoined a UK Cabinet Minister and the only ramification is that you'd be granted a peerage as a matter of course.

His primary task here is extricating the UK from the EU and being willing to defend the interests of the UK over the Brussels cartel.

That's first and foremost here. Perhaps after his job with the EU is concluded he'll resign to make way for someone else to handle the friendlier countries...like Russia, China, North Korea, and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

With Boris on the road all the time, he can't cause trouble for May at home.

You have to remember Boris was 2 steps away himself from being PM.


Also, the real EU work will be done by David Davis, a serious guy
now in charge of the Ministry to get the UK out of the EU.

Liam Fox got International Trade, the dept. to write out the deals,
the nitty gritty work. And Fox is a serious guy as well.

In reality, Boris will be a glorified cheerleader, and he'll be good at it.
He will apologize for this and that, and no one stays mad at him
very long anyway.

Much better than him sitting on the back benches, fuming and plotting.
