They were actually significantly less dumb when all they showed was monster truck events, country music videos, and infomercials for Time-Life collections.

By only having to employ 1 or 2 people to run the channel, profit margin is astronomical. Channels that just run reruns of Matlock and Remington Steel will finally die once 'a la carte' cable comes out.

But yea, I used to like 'Spike' when it was just 'TNN'.
