This hoarding and profiteering shit is really out of hand. So, perhaps it's time to start enforcing the Profiteering act in order to deter or stop dead in their tracks, the societal leeches who seem to always appear when we need to come together as a country.

We should be able to rely on stores to limit the amount that can be purchased at one time. Costco should not have let this guy buy up the entire inventory of wipes like that. Amazon brags about how its AI knows what you want to buy before you do. And yet they can’t proactively detect criminal price gouging occurring on their platform during a crisis? If these businesses can’t act responsibly the government is going to need to give them some incentive to do, like hefty fines of some sort.

Unfortunately Costco's entire gimmick is "buy as much as you want whenever you want". If they limited bulk sales they'd essentially be violating their entire business philosophy.

Good for Amazon anyway for kicking these pieces of shit off their platform. Kijiji has done the same thing with gougers trying to sell on their as well and hopefully eBay will also follow suit. Cripple their ability to sell quickly and it will basically in turn cut the legs right out from under scum like this and leave them stuck with empty pockets and an pile of things they can't sell.

And best of all, then restrict their returns policy so that these parasites are stuck with their excess for the next three lifetimes.
