Sure wouldn't want to be the embassy that took her in. You know what would be screaming outside the door in the morning.

There are a number of us on this forum that have made a number of comments about Mohammed that one might argue are less than respectful, in fact, a number of them are a bit on the insulting side. Under their blasphemy laws, we would be a hell of a lot of trouble. If any of these goon slime eating carpet kissing cockroach sword swallowers get insulted at our use of free speech to DISCUSS Muhammed that is really unfortunate.

This is a time for quiet diplomacy until (hopefully) Bibi and her family are out.

Full credit to her lawyer, Saiful Malook, who risked his life and career to defend a citizen's rights. One weird thing about Pakistan is the judiciary. It still contains many brilliant and brave individuals despite the rising tide of fanaticism beyond the courts.

You won't land in trouble if you discuss about our religion, country or Prophet....However, if you insult then you sure are gonna land in trouble.

Same will happen to you if you're in India and you disrespect Hindus and their religion.

Forget about Pakistan or India.....In your own country, USA, If you're white guy, go and try to say "nigga" to any random black guy and see what happens.

Common sense. Saying something wrong at wrong time and at wrong place can cost you. Common sense, again. :)

Pakistanis, despite being conservative in some areas, are quite liberal in other departments.

We have private media who shouts at government and military 24/7 and not to mention women folks enjoy quite liberty here. I discussed that on this forum in the past as well.

That's weird that he decided to run. He was not threatened at all, was he? Not a single person lost his life in these violent protests.

Do you guys remember London Riots in 2011

The 2011 England riots, more widely known as the London Riots were a series of riots between the 6th of August and 11 August 2011, when thousands of people rioted in cities and towns across England, saw looting, arson, and mass deployment of police, and resulted in the deaths of five people.

Latest update on topic......Gov't is playing clever and looks like has fooled the protestors

Well, actually, even in America blacks and whites can drink from the same water fountain now and nobody gets sent to jail.

Tell us again how Asia Bibi got sent to jail to await a death sentence.

Oh wait...that's OK, I looked it up.

$1:
On June 14, 2009, she set out to the fields near her house to take part in a berry-picking harvest, for which she would be paid 250 Pakistani rupees for a day’s work — the equivalent of just under $A3.

She described a climate of open hostility towards her from the women she worked with, because she was part of the country’s Christian minority, which makes up less than 2 per cent of Pakistan.

Around midday, dehydrated and sweltering in the sun, Bibi walked to the nearby well to have a drink of water.

But after she refilled the bucket a second time, a woman screamed: “Don’t drink that water, it’s haram!”

According to Bibi’s account, the shouter then turned to the dozen other women working in the fields and said: “Listen, all of you, this Christian has dirtied the water in the well by drinking from our cup and dipping it back several times. Now the water is unclean and we can’t drink it! Because of her!”

The argument intensified, with the women calling on Bibi to convert and “redeem herself”.

It was one sentence she fired back with that would seal her fate: “What did your Prophet Mohammed ever do to save mankind?”

After this, Bibi said the women started screaming, spitting at her and physically assaulting her. She ran home in a fright.

Less than a week later, she went fruit-picking in another field when she was confronted by a rioting crowd, led by the woman who had initially shouted at her.

The crowd surrounded her, beat her and took her to the village, screaming: “Death! Death to the Christian!”

The village imam said: “I’ve been told you’ve insulted our Prophet. You know what happens to anyone who attacks the holy Prophet Mohammed. You can redeem yourself only by conversion or death.”

She protested: “I haven’t done anything. Please, I beg you, I’ve done nothing wrong.”

$1:
The authorities earlier said that Asia Bibi was scheduled for release later this week.

Speaking to the BBC this week, her lawyer Saiful Mulook said she would need to move to a Western country for her own safety. Several countries have offered her asylum.

Hopefully she can make it the hell out of there.

Except the article starts out with this:
$1:
As part of the deal, proceedings will begin to bar Asia Bibi from leaving the country.

So what would that mean? Keep her in jail? Or release her and let her be killed by these so-called protesters?

I'm surprised she was acquitted, especially because she's a woman and women are generally treated like garbage in Muslim countries.

$1:
In a video message, Asia Bibi’s husband, Mr Masih, said he feared for his family’s safety.

“I am requesting the prime minister of the UK help us and as far as possible grant us freedom,” he said.

He also called on Canadian and US leaders for help.

“The current situation is very dangerous for us. We have no security and are hiding here and there, frequently changing our location.”

He added: “My wife, Asia Bibi, has already suffered greatly. She has spent 10 years in jail. My daughters were dying to see her free, but now this review petition will prolong her plight.”

Her life is in danger in Pakistan. The only way she will live is if she is given asylum outside of Pakistan.

Hopefully, she does not make it the hell out of there. She is PAKISTANI citizen and Green flag should not allow anyone to play politics over internal issue of it.

U diverted the topic. Blacks and Whites have more hatred towards each other than Muslims and Christians have anywhere in world.

Christians are part of mainstream here in Pakistan.

Noel Israel Khokhar is a Major General, the highest ranking Christian serving officer in the Pakistan Army.

“What did your Prophet Mohammed ever do to save mankind?”

Seems to me the question deserved an answer and not a riot.
