I dont know, decapitating and eating a victim is a pretty extreme break. If he goes off his meds again he could very likely kill again.

It is very extreme, but he didn't plan it. He should be locked up for life and fed his meds.

You can make a pretty good argument that killers who need to be locked up for the rest of their lives should be executed. Russel Williams is not a psychopath, he does feel empathy. He just got lost in some sexual fantasy. I would guess if released he wouldn't do it again. Vince Li is mentally ill - I'm not sure we want to be executing the mentally ill. That leaves Bernardo. Personally I'd rather just pay to have him locked up for life than re-institute the death penalty.
