*shakes head*

Hopefully the Tories can actually do something to change this type of nonsense.

How very Canadian of them. We have a bunch of those numbnuts hanging around too. They should just ask Pakistan for every assurance  that he won't be tortured. After all Pstan in our ally - surely we can trust them.

Wait, they are known terrorists. Suspected of planning a attack which would most likely have killed civilians. Yet they are allowed to stay for fear of what Pakistan would do them? Heres a idea, who gives a fuck? If they die in pakistan, that is the consiquence of there actions in joining a terrorist organization. They also forfiet all rights as a human being by doing so. By being the scum of the earth that gets a political kick out of killing civilians.

Could also hand them over to the Russian Navy. Seems the Russkies know how to deal with this kind of vermin lately. [titanic]

I honestly don't see why we shouldn't. Better sending the terrorists to them for "Proper" treatment then sending them back to Pakistan or Syria or other unreliable countries. As much as Russia is wishing back it's superpower days, I no doubt could see West-Russian cooperation against terrorist networks. They have their own issues, after all.

Well, fact is, although it's extremely easy to blame the individual judge, it ignores the fact the decision like this are based on interpretations of law, policy and procedures. It seemed quite clear that what the judge wanted to do was conflicted by what he legally could do. I would submit, that all those who regularly vent their spleen on judges, keep in mind that they have to follow laws and precedent.

Blame the politicians that seem to lack the political will to affect change.

I blame us. We're the ones that elect the politicians.

And that matters how?? Harper or Iggy? Giant douche or a turd sandwich? You can even choose who the douche and who the turd sandwich is
And that pretty much says it for the game of politics in any country.

Absolutely - but as a people we stand still for it. As long as we're reasonably comfortable, we won't squawk. Or we'll squawk, but that's about it.
