I dunno, but I don't think people would appreciate a traditional Dutch costume... Or a niqab... Why would you want to wear that to your CANADIAN graduation? Just because your mom is Scottish?? :?

(Just pointing out the obvious bias...)

Be cause they realise that they will look not very "Canadian sociable" and that guy doesn't. He needs a ticket to Scotland on one way only.

A white guy standing up for his culture. This is great I love
it and I'm glad he won. How the school officials came to the
conclusion that they should not allow him to wear a kilt to be
PC IN CANADA is beyond me.

So a white guy standing up for his culture is ok, but an olive coloured guy standing up is not ok?

In many cases a Kilt is considered traditional dress in Canada. The Canadian Highland Regiments use it all the time as do a number of Pipe and Drum Bands and have for a few hundred years on Canadian soil. Mid Eastern dress and the like have not been.

So? It can be. Don't see the issue.

These kids should be allowed to wear whatever they want to a grad ceremony as long as it is not their birthday suit. I could give a rats ass if some one wore their cultural dress.

So, to really make a point, he should show up wearing a turban, face veil, kilt, pink leg warmers, wooden clogs, and with a Greenpeace flag as a cape!

That's not surprising that you don't get it. If you knew anything about this country, you would've got what Regina was arguing.

It's sad how little you know about this great nation.

Oh, I get what he is saying. Still afraid of change, huh.

Like I said before, I am only pointing out the obvious bias. That's all.
