I actually worked on this puppy last winter when it was nothing more than pieces and a basic airframe. :D

Sweet! Any extra parts afterwards Menace? ;)

I remember driving through Niton, AB and seeing a Lancaster in the museum there. I would love to hear one of those puppies fire up.

Edit - Nanton, not Niton.

Come on out to Hamilton. We have one of only two airworthy Lancs left in the world. They don't fly it as often as they used too, but its still a site when they do.

No.

Although I did help catalogue parts to help make sure every piece was there. ;) XD

Even then, most of what I did was just cleaning out the forward fuselage/engine compartment since their sandlblaster bag broke, so I was there for a few hours cleaning out sand from the Sabre.

That's where my father trained on the Lancaster in WWII, or near enough. He always was in awe at the sound of them flying formation. I still have his log book.

I'd like to hear that F-86 as well. ;)

My father helped with the resurrection of the Lanc at the CWH when we lived in Mississauga.
