It is wreaking havoc on the hockey season, may damage the National Basketball Association season, and exposes Air Canada to claims from its customers," the airline said in court documents filed Wednesday. "Air Canada seeks a declaration vacating this directive and requests relief in time to salvage at least part of the upcoming sports season."
What Air Canada has had is relief from the cabotage prohibition. It stands accused of abusing that relief by carrying passengers (other than team players) between two US points; as a result the relief has been terminated. Nowhere have I seen that Air Canada denies it the accusation. Rather than engaging in a lengthy lawsuit why doesn't AC just act in accordance with the rules?
