Pics: Challenger disaster: rememberedI remember the announcement on my schools PA and some kid says 'So?'. I couldn't help but feel a little repulsed by their jaded response. Later on there was audio being leaked that reportedly was of the cockpit recorder and the screams of the crew as they would have survived the disintegration in the reinforced cockpit but the without power it was quickly outed as a fraud. Still, they would have survived the initial event only to lose consciousness moments after with no means of maintaining air pressure.
The way people react to stress of unusual situations is very illuminating.
