I'm actually surprised this doesn't happen more often. People tailgate so much, out of fear that someone will cut in front of you, that no one has time to stop if something ocurrs ahead of them. Like if an animal jumps onto the road.

Hate to say but around Sacramento tailgating on the freeway is an act of defensive driving.

If you leave enough space between cars some *******ing bastard in a BMW will cut in front of you and then slam on the brakes to avoid hitting the car in front of you.

A friend of mine who retired from the CHP told me of an accident at I-5 and Florin Road where there was a three car pileup.

A woman cut in between two pickup trucks and all three vehicles collided and were totaled.

Bitch is yelling that the truck driver 'should have let her in' when the CHP arrived.

The truck driver (there was just one) tells the CHP he was towing the other truck.

As funny as that may sound this kind of shit is normal here anymore. It's part of why I want out of this fucking city and state.

Exactly my point. If that's the case, they were following the first car too close, and the BMW made it worse.

And with my Road Armour bumpers and dash cam, I'll friggen swap paint with that BMW any day. ;)

On any given day on any given road in all of North America it's pretty much a given day that somewhere a BMW driver is making things worse. Great cars on all levels, same with Dodge, but they're mainly marketed to meatheads.

The announcer sounds like the kind of guy who was probably busy prowling the streets looking for a child to molest when he came across the car fire.
