The best plane for us is the Typhoon, but that consortium withdrew from the competition a couple years back.

I am liking the Saab offer. We get to keep the rights. F-35 comes off as an overpriced bird.

Agree. The licensing aspect of the deal should be a major positive.

Lockheed can go shove it. Go Saab! Yay Gripen-E! Sweden's a cold-weather country, just as frigid in winter as we are, so hopefully we can actually buy the Gripens without adding on a dozen extra layers of "Canadian kit" that end up doubling the price per plane.

You would deny our brave fighters a cupholder and shiatsu massage chairs?

I concur with going Saab. It's a great looking fighter than can fit our needs, and be outfitted for any and all missions. The single engine is a small drawback, but as Thanos said the Swedes know what they're doing.
Plus, we can get a lot more of them than that stupid F-35 for the price.
