Avril Lavigne won an award at Thursday's MTV Video Music Awards, winning the Best New Artist prize for her video Complicated. "This is amazing. My dreams are coming true," she said. Fellow Canadian Chad Kroeger also won a statue, for his song Hero from the movie Spider-Man.
And Avril had on her Canadian tie! Way to go Avril!
