A new leak of tax haven data lists firms that may be legitimate, but the sheer number has drawn the attention of watchdogs concerned about the relationship Canadas banks have forged with island tax havens over the past half-century.
Why is Canada such a protectionist economy? Open up and deregulate the banking industry, let's have some foreign competition and options.
Who the hell wants to be forced to bank at places in which the state employs covert operatives? They have become protected too long. Let the free market rule or Canada should just tell the world we arent open for business.
Because I prefer competition and deregulation to state supported oligopolies? Maybe you haven't been following our PMs calls to other nations to reject protectionism. I agree. Let's start at home.
Yet you worship the US, where all the crooked financial and government sector things that you bitch and whine about in Canada were basically invented and exist on a level so exponentially worse than anything that happens here that it should make a moral person's head spin.
But it's the crazy stuff about people being employed to spread distrust about Americans that makes me laugh. Wouldn't mind dropping my resume off there.
Anyway it's always nice and a sweet breathe of relief when the crazed conspiracy nut isn't a leftist.

I am what could best be described as economically conservative, socially Libertarian. Bottom line, Canada needs to practice what it preaches and illustrate some respect for allies who invest in the country. Laugh all you want, but I assure you, those who make it their business to collect information and facts aren't laughing. Trade deals are big business; vital to Canada, and we cannot allow abuses in ANY form to exist. Nations will only enter into vast and broad trade agreements if there is mutual trust.
America may not be perfect, but at least when abuses occur accountability exists, whether government or corporate. I have put my faith in Trudeau and his desire to bring libertarian social values to Canada which is why i reached out to him and Ralph Goodale. I will keep speaking the truth until they force honest and positive changes to these agencies. Until then, I am obligated to share facts.
I just speak the truth, if it impacts Canadas ability to reach out to other nations to engage in trade, so be it, I have a civic duty to democracy that superseeds protecting a dishonest security apparatus. Nations have obligations to their citizens and their national business interests.
To be clear there is nothing funny about human right abuses, not a bloody thing, wherever they may reside.
Further to this, I was watching CBC earlier and a spokesperson for a law firm who had detailed knowledge of the CETA agreement and the negotiations made a strong point "Canada wants to trade, we keep telling nations we are open to trade, but nations are not interested in trading with us"
Just why on Gods green earth would this be the case? What would prevent interest in what is constantly sold to Canadians and the world as such an appealing place to do business?
My guess is others are far better informed than the average Canadian.
You think whatever message you leave with the secretary matters to these people?
Good luck, I guess. I should start it up. "Reach out" to Trudeau, to Clinton; tell them about what think, if not to effect change then perhaps to try and get on as many closely eyed lists as possible

No need to add me to a list, I copy them on some of the correspondence. Best to be transparent about the truth and the impact some police agencies have had on Canada AND Ontario.
Freeland is in Europe today, I'm way ahead of her. Hey, if Canada can't play in the civilized world maybe the police unions can "create" economic opportunities for Canadians...
If he says that the CBC is honest, upfront, neutral, and truthful then it's the clearest sign yet that he's been pulling some kind of troll-job since he came here.

You're a freaking weird guy.

The CBC run an honest transparent, non-partisan operation.

Funniest thing I read all week.

And that's why we don't trust him.
