It's not really connected and comes from the other side of the globe, but it's just crazy what people are doing to pets.

It wouldn't bother me if the penalties were increased.

15 years, no parole sounds about right for spraying acid in a dog's eyes or raping one hanging by its neck from a tree.

Actually if judges just applied the penalties that are available to them in BC, that would already go a long way. But because of case law, ie previous very slack penalties, the judges are afraid of losing on appeal, so just go along with the program. I think tho the current max is two years - that should be increased to 5 years and actually applied more often.

That's fucked up and whoever is behind this needs to be caught and locked up forever with a dangerous offender status.
