    They should buy an SR71 Blackbird, coolest plane ever built.
    Make airshows pay to display it. Charge $20 just to touch it. Probably bring in more $$ for the military than they'd ever pry from a gov't budget.

    The Conservatives had initially set aside $3 billion to replace the planes — the leading candidate was the Boeing P-8 Poseidon — but deep defence cuts forced a re-evaluation.

    The US makes mostly quality stuff once they hammer it out a bit. The UK makes bad gear that gets worse as they try and fix it.

    You remember what the bean counter on here said. If you take better care of your stuff, you wouldn't need new gear every three or four decades.

    Yep. According to the professionals, we should have only replaced our WW2 fleet 15 or so year ago. :roll:
