With Canadians eager to fire up the grill this BBQ season, many are discovering the price of some of the most popular meats has skyrocketed in recent months.
T-Bone with the loin removed was $33.31 kg last weekend, the whole stack of them were marked down 30% and were turning green in the cooler. I think the consumer will have a say in the price.

I looked at Striploin the other day and I'll be damned if I'm paying $18 for a single steak.
The simple solution is to buy cheaper cuts of meat and cook them longer over low heat. If you marinate and cook them properly, they are pretty darned close IMHO.

They can be as tender, but not as tasty.
I'll stick to Bison and smokies for now.

We'll have to agree to disagree then!

I stand corrected!
I'll say it again - just buy your own cow.
