Justin Trudeau, who has endorsed legalizing marijuana, admitted that he has smoked pot since becoming an Member of Parliament and Prime Minister Stephen Harper seems less than pleased with the admission.
Oh look, a politician being honest about something personal and is getting slammed for it and people wonder why they lie. Who cares if he had some pot, not like he started driving around after it. It's a law well on the way out that only remains on the books because Harper is a follower of the failed hard on crime belief system. If anything this just makes him more likeable to liberal people who were already going to vote for him anyways and will probably steal some NDP voters too.
I agree with Jeff. This is only to ruffle conservative feathers; they'll paint him as an irresponsible goof with no respect for the law. If I were Trudeau, I would simply rebuff conservative attacks with a simple "And these people were against gays and gay marriage too."
He sure as shit cares and is telling everyone whether they care or not. Attention whore or what...following in the same vein, Harper can tell us all that Laureen takes it up the poop chute while he wears a corset.

If he posts a .gif of it happening, I will vote for him regardless of his policy.

If you don't care then don't read, he didn't go out seeking to tell people, he was actually asked about it (along with Mulcair and Harper) before saying he smoked pot in the past.
All the party leaders were asked by HuffPost when they last smoked marijuana. The Prime Minister’s Office said Stephen Harper has never tried cannabis because he suffers from asthma, “precluding him from smoking anything.” The NDP leader’s office confirmed that Thomas Mulcair has smoked pot but sent strongly worded emails refusing to say when he last used the drug or where he procured it.
Trudeau, however, in the interest of what he said was “full transparency” sat down for a 20-minute interview. He said he knows his truthfulness and his position on legalization opens him up to attacks, but it is his way of showing Canadians that he is willing to do what he thinks is right and be upfront about his experiences regardless of the Conservative attacks.
And here I thought that he was just channeling Paul Hellyer.

I don't believe Trudeau has smoked pot. Where's the video?
Dude, I am living in your head rent-free, aren't I?

That he freely admits it? Certainly going to win a lot of trust from an ignorant population. I have to admit I even feel somewhat swayed.
