At the risk of seemingly going to the the gay place; we had a migration of 'Painted Ladies' a couple years back where there were butterflies heading south af far as the eye could see, for 2 days. It was amazing.
No, not really. It's kind of anticlimactic to take a pic of a butterfly, when there are thousands flying through the fields. Pics didn't quite capture it, at least with my poor photographic skill.
