Iran Arrests British Embassy Staff Members

Iranian media reported Sunday that authorities had detained eight employees of the British Embassy in Tehran for an alleged role in post-election protests, signaling a hardening of Iran's stance toward the West.

    I hope that none of those held by the thugs are British otherwise we could have a hostage crisis again. Iranians holding diplomats hostage is not unheard of.

    The UK has a policy of sending in the SAS to rescue citizens taken by force. The unofficial operating procedure, which has been consistent for 30 years now, kill one citizen, we kill all the opposing combatants.

    According to the story, all staffmembers are Iranian.

    Iran is not led by stupid people. Of course they are not arresting British citizens.

    I don't think the UK has the parts fot it anymore.
    Remember the whole Royal Navy debacle when the Revolutionary Guard captured a load of naval ratings?
    The Brits gave up when bad men pointed guns at them and the government did nothing.

    Too many years of a Labour run nanny-state.
