8°C here today.
I wish they'd stop using phrases like this to describe Ontario and Quebecs weather. By using the term Canadians, it implies that the entire country is bracing for a winter wallop, when it fact it's only parts of Eastern Canada.
When we have a weather phenomonem out here on the coast the national news outlets are quick to say things like BC or western Canada braces for storm, not Canadians brace for storm.
Despite what some Toronto media wogs's seem to think, Ontario and Quebec aren't "Canada". No wonder we still see tourists comming here expecting to see igloos, eskimos and Bonhomme laden winter carnivals............ in the middle of a freakin moonsoon.
All that aside, let's hope that the good people of Ontario, Quebec and Eastern Canada make out better than those poor souls in the US Midwest.
Any parka is good but if the fur on the hood is skimpy and only for looks then you got a noob parka.
More fur the better,I've seen some awesome parkas's the last 4 days, mostly sealskin and wolverine and all handmade. Awesome.
We're getting pounded with this bitch of a snowstorm here in Ottawa...
Yup, I've been watching the snow on my fire escape grow since this morning, its at about two feet now.
I went for a walk to the store, the roads are ok, the sidewalks arent. But the plows are out.
I wonder if half the public service will call in "snow day" tomorrow..... pussies.
