Patricia Anne Stratigias, more commonly known as Trish Stratus, was born December 18th 1975 in Toronto, Ontario. She is the eldest child of Alice and John, who have two other daughters: Christie and Melissa.
Trish was always a fun loving child, spending loads of time with her cousins and friends. However from an early age Trish was aware that she had to divide her time between fun and serious matters. So much so Trish was seen as a very hard working student at school, always gaining top grades so she could make the steps towards her ultimate goal: becoming a doctor. It was when she made it to Toronto's York University that her life would change.
Trish was in the last year of her university studies before the transition to medical school, when all of a sudden the university teachers went on strike. Trish was not sure when this was gonna end, so she ended up taking a receptionist job at a Toronto Gym. It was from there that she met the chief of MuscleMag International, Robert Kennedy, who took an instant interest in thinking that the blonde beauty could become the next fitness beauty. After a test photoshoot which was supposed to last twenty minutes, but instead lasted three hours, Trish was signed to MuscleMag as a fitness model.
In addition to being a covergirl on many fitness magazines around the world, Trish was invited onto many radio and television shows. It was during these commitments that her vast knowledge into professional wrestling shone through. She has been an avid pro-wrestling fan since her childhood, when her idols included the likes of Hulk Hogan and Macho Man Randy Savage. It was through this media that rumours began circulating on the internet that perhaps Trish would be entering the world of pro-wrestling. World Wrestling Entertainment took interest in her, and asked her to send in her press kit. At the same time, WWE's rivals World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) both expressed interest. However Trish was a WWE fan through and through, and in November 1999 Trish signed a multiple year contract with WWE.
It was a few months later that Trish eventually made her debut. On March 14th 2000 (although the programme was aired on March 19th), Trish Stratus made her debut in the WWE. She immediately became the manager of the wrestlers Test & Albert (collectively known as T&A). Despite the size of these man mountains, between the two giants was the 5' 4" Toronto beauty, dressed in her trademark attire of a cowboy hat, small top, miniskirt, trenchcoat and knee high length boots.
After T&A disbanded at the end of 2000, Trish was storylined into a relationship with WWE owner Vince McMahon. Although it seemed like love, McMahon betrayed Trish when he turned on her. However he took her back when Trish was forced to apologise in a controversial manner. However Trish wasn't interest in McMahon for love anymore. She wanted to wait until WrestleMania XVII to make him pay for what he had done to her.
Trish had a quiet few months after WrestleMania, but in the summer of 2001 she chipped her ankle when exercising. Following surgery she was out for three months. But during that time she returned to her television roots, becoming the co-host of the short-lived WWE show 'Excess'. In October 2001 Trish returned to the ring, and became a full time wrestler. She had wrestled a few times before, but until that time she wasn't a proper competitor. However her change of mind saw the hidden talent that Trish possessed come out and hit the WWE's Womens Division with a dose of Stratusfaction!
On November 18th 2001 at the WWE event Survivor Series, Trish won her first WWE Womens Championship. She had to contend with five other women in order to achieve the victory. However she maintained her coolness to win the title. Since then she has been the champion on a futher five occasions, making her the most decorated Womens Champion in WWE history. She even took the honour of having the most Championship reigns from WWE Hall of Famer Fabulous Moolah.
Her fantastic ability in the ring isn't the only achievements that Trish has achieved in the WWE. She has continued to flaunt her beauty in the annual WWE Diva photoshoots, which take place in such exotic locations as the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, the Bahamas and Mexico to name a few. She was also crowned the WWE Babe Of The Year in 2001, 2002 and 2003. She has appeared on many WWE magazine covers and was named the WWE Raw Diva of the Decade at the prestigious event marking ten years of the WWE's flagship programme (which Trish appears on nearly every week) Monday Night Raw in 2003. That's not all, this blonde bombshell also has a very funny side to her personality. Trish has appeared on Fox's MADtv on two occasions. She's appeared alongside Caroline Rhea on the Second City comedy circuit in her native Toronto, and on New Years Eve 2004 she guest starred on CBC's Royal Canadian Air Farce, where alongside her Second City appearance she showed how versatile a sketch comedy actress she can be.
She's done such a lot in such a small amount of time, but Trish isn't finished there. It's just a case of waiting and seeing to see what this Toronto lady will get up to next. But one thing is for certain: Stratusfaction is always guaranteed!
