Mini Bio:	<STRONG>Eric McCormack</STRONG> was born on April 18, 1963 in Toronto, Ontario, and is an Emmy Award-winning part-Cherokee actor. <BR><BR> <P>Educated and trained at Ryerson University , McCormack has been appearing in television productions since his debut in 1986. </P> <P>His role as the somewhat homomasculine gay</DEADILNK> <FONT color=#008000>l</FONT>lawyer in the NBC comedy series <I><DEADILNK entry_key="Will & Grace">Will & Grace</DEADILNK></I> has brought him his most widespread success to date. Nominated on three occasions for this role, he won the <I>Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy</I> in 2001. </P> <P>During the 1999-2000 Broadway season, McCormack briefly portrayed Prof. Harold Hill  in the revival of The Music Man while on hiatus from <I><DEADILNK entry_key="Will & Grace">Will & Grace</DEADILNK></I>. </P> <P>McCormack has been married to Janet Holden since 1997, and they have a son, Finnigan Holden McCormack. </P> <P>He has also recorded a song, "The Greatest Discovery", which was written by <SPAN class=brokenlink>Elton John</SPAN> and Bernie Taupin for the album, <I>Unexpected Dreams: Songs from the Stars</I>. He also wrote and sang a song called "Living With Grace" for a soundtrack to <I><DEADILNK entry_key="Will & Grace">Will & Grace</DEADILNK></I> which had Barry Manilow playing the piano on the track.</P>
