I was there to unionize the Taliban. Some of those suicide vests weigh like 60 lbs and they expect the poor kids to walk arounbd half the day in them in the scorching sun. Outrageous!

How did they call Kabul Work Safe if they went off early?

On the bright side, we can be glad you didn't teach them grammar or spelling :D

Why? It was a cunning plan to teach them bad grammar and spelling - makes them easier to identify. Either Zip has failed instructor deprogramming or he's been replaced with a Zip trained Taliban operative. This is why you should stay out of int and continue working on that Bronco sale! ;)

I'd say this program takes advantage of naive young people looking to get ahead - most of the intern programs I've seen here in Alberta typically pay the interns something (usually close to minimum wage). Some of them (like the Alberta Government internships) even pay industry competitive wages.

I could see if Bell's program actually gave them valuable work experience, but doing market research and phone surveys are likely not the type of work most of them likely had in mind when they applied.

Another aspect is that it gives an upper hand to rich kids. Not everyone has the luxury of getting M&P Financing (Ma and Pa) to cover costs while he works for free.

What the hell is the point of being rich if you can't use it to help your kids? What are you, Amish?

It's not the money hasn't already been worked for. Let's just ignore the fact the worker has a right to spend their money how they wish.

The important thing is that little Timmy born into an abusive home isn't getting the same advantages as little Johnny rich boy and the state is totally competent and caring enough to step in and fix everything.

I think you broke the internet's sarcasm meter with that.

I just think it should be a job of the state to make sure people get paid when they work.
