$1:
About 500 of them ended up back in Germany, where 254 were killed in concentration and internment camps.

Down here we have Chelsey Clinton, up where you are you have Justin Trudeau. We havent elected Chelsey to anything yet, but both are in in much more prominent position because of Mom and Dad.

Found this posted on reddit, thought it was worded well.

You are not apologizing, I am not apologizing, and for all intents and purposes Justin Trudeau isn't apologizing either. The apology is being issued by the government of Canada, an institution with an unbroken chronology dating back to 1867 (or earlier). Canada celebrates its past accomplishments, and so it must be willing to look its failures in the eye too.

If there's anything that Canada should have apologized for long before this it was for refusing to help European Jews when there was already more than enough information (prior to the official outbreak of the war) known about what the Nazis had in store for them. This was probably the worst and most shameful thing Canada ever did, succumbing to our own dark anti-Semitism, worse even that what happened in the residential schools. This apology should have been made a couple of generations ago if anything.

Correct me if I am wrong but that Dark Anti-Semitism is alive and well in Calgary. :|

Didn't Brian Mulroney apologize to the Japanese Canadians for the WW2 internment camps?
