Members of the iconic Royal Canadian Mounted Police are really living up to their name today, as they stand guard over the Queen at her London residence Buckingham Palace.

    The RCMP might not be perfect, but to be selected to guard Her Majesty the Queen for a period of time makes me very proud of them and Canada as a whole.

    I think all this fawning over the monarchy has had its day. The Windsors are about as useful to Canada as the Senate.
